How to use Licorice Powder for skin? ft Stamio Mulethi Powder

If you have been following my blog, you would know i had reviewed few products from the brand Stamio and loved how effective they are. I had tried their hair care products and herbal powders and i am absolutely love using them in my hair packs. With the hard water in Bangalore, the only thing that helps me in reducing hair fall and keeping skin clear is proper hair and skin care. Recently I tried Stamio Mulethi (Licorice) Powder* for my face and was impressed with the results. Mulethi is also called yashtimadhu or liquorice and has antioxidants and antibiotic properties that prevents skin from inflammation and other skin issues!

Price- Rs 297 for 100g BUY ONLINE

Stamio Mulethi Powder comes in a transparent, thin plastic jar with a black screw top lid. As soon as you open it, it is sealed to ensure you get a fresh product. The powder is filled to the brim and all the information about it is written on the jar. It is super fine and is not abrasive at all. It has mild mulethi fragrance that is hardly noticeable. It has no added colors and is cruelty free.

Mulethi powder works great for both skin and hair but I use it for my skin. It is made from the drying and processing of the licorice roots. Though I had tried many DIYs but have not tried mulethi yet so was pretty excited to try it out :)

How to use Stamio Mulethi Powder?

Few days back, I had posted about my favorite face pack so to continue with it, I just add 1/2 teaspoon of mulethi powder to it. Here is my recipe:

2 tsp besan

1/4 tsp Stamio hibiscus powder

1/2 tsp Stamio Mulethi Powder

Nettle hydrosol

Rose Water

Mix everything well and make a smooth paste. Apply it on your clean skin, let it stay for 10 minutes and rinse it off. Follow it with a good toner and moisturizer.

I have been using it since a month and I noticed it helps in reducing pimple and acne marks. It makes skin smooth and radiant with regular usage. It also helps in pigmentation and controls excess oil preventing acne and pimples. i do get pimples during my periods and i have noticed it heals them fast without leaving mark. Mulethi powder also helps in tan removal.

One of my friends swears by this recipe to remove tan using licorice powder- mix mulethi powder+tomato juice+lemon juice and apply it as a mask on both face and body. If you have sensitive skin, avoid using lemon juice.

Mulethi powder is also used for hair care but i have not tried it yet so cannot share my experience. If I will do it, i will update this post!

Mulethi powder is also used to treat cough and cold but please make sure Stamio Mulethi Powder is for external use only.
