Shesha Ayurveda Tejaswini Face Wash Powder Review

If you follow me on Instagram, you would know I got this huge package from Shesha Ayurveda. The founder of Shesha Ayurveda, Renji, is my blogger friend and we have known each other for quite a long time now. Now you would be thinking my reviews will be biased, the answer is NO. I never ever give false or biased reviews on my blog. My readers are my priority and this blog is still running because of you guys.

Let’s jump onto the review of Shesha Ayurveda Tejaswini Face Wash Powder*. I have used quite a few face wash powders previously but my skin did not accept them to be used as a face wash everyday. In my mind, I knew it might not suit me but boy I was so wrong. I have been using this face wash powder for more than 2 weeks and I haven’t faced a single breakout yet. So here is my review on Shesha Ayurveda Tejaswini Face Wash Powder.

Price- ₹399 for 50g BUY ONLINE

Shesha Ayurveda Tejaswini Face Wash Powder comes in a sturdy, clear plastic jar with a golden screw top lid. I loved the Color combination of Shesha Ayurveda packaging as it looks really classy yet soothing to the eyes. There is also an inner lid that protects the face wash powder from moisture. All the information is written on the packaging. The jar is sturdy enough to be carried around in a bag whilst traveling.

The face wash powder is soap free and 100% natural. It suits all skin types even if you have sensitive and acne prone skin like mine. It is finely milled and has smooth and soft texture. There are no large  gritty granules in the face wash powder that makes it safe to use everyday.

I simply take one teaspoon of Shesha Ayurveda Tejaswini Face Wash Powder in a bowl and mix it nicely with water. I love using it in my morning showers. I simply apply face wash powder on my wet face and neck and massage it gently. The powder feels very smooth and soothing to the skin. It does not cause any sort of discomfort to my skin. It smells herbal which is hardly noticeable. After massaging like 20 seconds, I rinse it off with water. It rinses off quickly without leaving any residue behind. I then follow it up with a toner and a moisturizer.

I have dry, combination skin that tends to get oily in this hot weather but with the regular usage of Shesha Ayurveda Tejaswini Face Wash Powder I feel my t zone is getting less oily. It does not dry out my dry skin. My skin doesn’t feel stretchy after wash. So yes it maintains the pH balance of the skin. It also acts as a super mild daily scrub and works well on blackheads. Though I usually don’t get blackheads but in this hot season I do get few on cheeks. It also helps to reduce acne, pimples and blemishes with regular use. I haven’t face pimples or breakouts since the time I am using it, but make sure you use it consistently. My skin look clean, clear, healthy and balanced.

The ingredients are all good and mild to the skin. The face wash poder contains green gram, almond (it brings glow), bengal gram, rose petals, aloe vera, orange peel (my favorite) and many more!

PROS:

  • Gentle face wash.
  • Cleanses the skin really well.
  • No fragrance.
  • 100% natural.
  • Reduces acne, pimples.
  • Makes skin less oily.
  • Keeps skin balanced.
  • Mild everyday scrub.
  • No residue.
  • Gives healthy look to the skin.
  • Suits all skin types.

CONS:

  • Pricey. I would love to stock it up during sale.
  • I wish it was available in bottles than jars. It’s little inconvenient to use it in showers. I always have to make sure that my hands are dry else it might get fungus!

Overall Thoughts :

I absolutely loved Shesha Ayurveda Tejaswini Face Wash Powder. I haven’t faced breakouts since the time I am using and I love how healthy and clear my skin looks using it. It is very mild, natural and safe for all skin types. I would highly recommend it to everyone!

My Tips-

  1. Don’t use when you have active pimples and acne.
  2. Don’t scrub it too hard.
  3. The brand has mentioned on their jar that if you have sensitive skin, you should not use it as a face pack. I have not tried using it as a face pack as I am happy using it as a face wash only.
  4. Don't expect it to remove your makeup! Expect from none of the face washes though!
