The weather here is super muggy. I have oily, combination and acne prone skin and I hate wearing heavy makeup on my face. Recently I came across an amazing mineral makeup brand Natural Cosmetics Inc. that is great for anyone with acne, skin damage, rosacea and redness. I have been using it for more than 3 weeks and I must say it is the best mineral makeup I have tried till date. The set is priced at £12.99 and you can buy online HERE.

NCinc. Naked Skin Mineral Makeup Set* comes in two black netted case. In one case, you will find 10 ml jars of miracle veil and mineral foundation each while in the other, there are 5ml jars of corrector, concealer, blusher and bronzer each. The brand was kind enough to send me 5ml jars of 2 other shades of foundation to find the right shade. They had also sent a kabuki brush but unfortunately it was stolen at the customs or in the mail. There is also a leaflet that explains how to use the makeup effectively. All the jars come with a sifter that allows you to take right amount of product on the lid. The packaging is travel friendly and can be easily carried around in a bag while traveling. All the products in the kit are non-comedogenic and have silky cream like texture that feel amazing on the skin.

The first step is to moisturize your face well. Always remember no makeup will look good on dry and dehydrated skin. The next step is to apply miracle veil. It works like a primer and looks amazingly natural on skin. I simply tip a tiny amount (when I say tiny I really mean it!) of miracle veil onto the lid and swirl the brush over it, tap it off on the lid and buff into the skin. I use Born Pretty Store Flat Top Brush (reviewed here) for applying miracle veil and foundation. Make sure there is no powder visible on the brush to get flawless coverage. Though it is white in color, it looks pretty natural on my skin. It tones down shininess and gives a beautiful finish. It can also be used as finishing powder.

The next step is to apply foundation. It comes in a powder form and has silky smooth formula. There are various shades to choose from and Beige matches my fair skin tone perfectly. You need to use it just like miracle veil. Less is more with mineral foundation so try to use as little as possible because you can always build up the coverage by layering it. The foundation and miracle veil feel absolutely light and I feel as if I have nothing on. The foundation gives sheer to medium coverage and I love how even and natural my skin looks after using it. It does not look cakey or streaky unlike other foundation.

The next step is to apply corrector and concealer. The corrector is green in color and I apply it to combat any redness. It is truly amazing and instantly hides any redness on the skin. I have been suffering from acne lately and I loved how well it hides my acne with the help of concealer. I use Eddie Funkhouser Blending brush to apply corrector and concealer. Concealer hides my slightly dark circles well but if you have heavy dark circles then you might need a full coverage concealer. In this case too, less is more and you can always build up the coverage by applying layers.

The final step is to apply bronzer and blusher. If you have very oily skin, make sure to apply miracle veil as finishing powder to get matte yet healthy skin. I then apply little bronzer on my cheeks using a blusher brush and then finish it off with a very small amount of blush to give natural flush of color to the cheeks. To get natural look, swirl a small amount of bronzer on brush and then again swirl it onto the blush and apply the mixture on the skin. It gives such a natural and glowy look to my face.

The mineral makeup stays on my oily combination skin for a good 7-8 hours though I start getting oily nose (not forehead and chin!) after 5-6 hours. I use my oil blotting sheets (reviewed HERE) to combat shine on my nose. The weather is hot and humid and I get shiny nose with almost all my makeup so I could not actually complain it.

Overall Thoughts:

NCinc Mineral Makeup Set is the best mineral makeup I have tried. It not only feels light on the skin but gives a lovely natural glow to the skin. It does not aggravate my acne as it is non comedogenic. It will last long with me so it is definitely worth its price. I would highly recommend it to everyone who loves makeup that give beautiful and natural looking skin.
