If you read my blog regularly, you would how much I raced about MCaffeine Neem Glow Gel. I literally loved it a lot and had already repurchased it. I had recommended it to many and they all loved it. So while browsing Amazon, I thought of trying more Mcaffeine products and ordered Mcaffeine Neem Face Wash. I have oily, combination and acne prone skin so the ingredients on this face wash really intrigued me to try it.
Price- Rs 449 for 150ml
It's currently not available on Amazon but you can buy it from Nykaa or Flipkart!
The packaging of the face wash is of very good quality with a twist to open pump dispenser. You just need to twist the pump to open and close. It is great for traveling and won't cause any mess. All the information is printed over the bottle. The green color of the face wash makes it stand out in the bathroom among all other bath products.
Ingredients list which is so important for me! |
Description is very short! |
Pump dispenser which is very convenient while traveling! |
This is how the face wash looks! |
The fragrance of the face wash is okay kind of and does not smell of neem or any other ingredient present in the cleanser. It is not overpowering and fades away as soon it is applied on the face. The face wash has gel like consistency and all you need is one pump for both face and neck. It lathers nicely and feels nice on the skin. I simply massage my face for few seconds and rinse it off with warm water. It cleanses the skin well and does not leave sticky residue behind.
The face wash does not prevent pimples from occurring. I did get small pimples whilst using it. Though I would not say it's because of this face wash but it did help in reducing pimples with regular usage. It also says to fight hyperpigmentation. I don't have any so can't say. It does not help in open pores. It also dries my skin a bit as I could feel itchiness on my cheeks after I started using this face wash.
PROS:
1. Cleanses the skin.
2. Paraben free.
3. Travel friendly packaging.
4. Great for very oily skin.
5. Does not contain comedogenic ingredients.
6. Cruelty free!
7. Reduces pimples and acne.
CONS:
1. Does not prevent pimples.
2. Dries out my skin. I have oily, combination skin.
3. Pricey!
Overall Thoughts:
Overall, I am really not happy with this purchase. Mcaffeine Neem Face Wash didn't do anything special for the Rs 449. It just cleanses the skin but leave skin dry and itchy. I would only recommend it to people with very oily skin.
My Tips-
1. Use only moderate amount of face wash else it will dry out your face.
2. Use it everyday if you are suffering from pimples.
3. Great for summer season.

DeleteIt is a tad pricey I see but I can weigh that pros are more than the cons and there is therefore no harm in trying. But then again neem face washes are available for cheap in the market 🙈
ReplyDeleteIt's good if you have oily skin.
DeleteLiked your frank and candid review. I thought the goodness of neem would be put to good use by the product. But I see that it leaves you with dry skin and that it is more of a cleanser only, which at the price tag is not really value for money.
ReplyDeleteI agree but I think it will be good for oily skin.
DeleteThis brand has some good products but it's good to see a honest opinion.this would help people with oily skin
