Faces Canada Exfoliating Facial Scrub Review

When it comes to using scrubs I am usually skeptical to try them as I have oily, acne prone and sensitive skin. I used only chick pea flour as scrub and had never tried any market based scrub. Recently while strolling in the faces store I found this scrub. I tried it over my hands and was impressed with its mild and gentle beads. So I immediately ordered it and was keeping my fingers crossed with the hope that it would suit my sensitive skin. Today am going to share my experience with Faces Exfoliating Facial Scrub.

MBT says-
Faces Exfoliating Facial Scrub comes in a pearly white sturdy plastic tube with a light blue screw off lid. I find flip open lids more convenient to use than the screw lids. The packaging looks simple, soothing and appealing. It comes sealed in a plastic wrapper that ensures the product has not been opened or used. It can be carried around in a purse without any fear of leakage or spillage.

The texture of the scrub is soft, smooth and velvety with a good consistency.  The scrub is pearly white in color and is easily dispensed through a small hole in the tube. I always make sure to carefully dispense the scrub when the tube is full as it comes gushing out. The scrub contains mild and soft white micro beads which are gentle on the skin. I first cleanse my face using a face wash and then gently massage the scrub onto my wet face in small circular motions for a minute or so. Make sure not to scrub roughly or too close to the eye area. It spreads effortlessly across my skin unlike other scrubs. The scent of the scrub is very mild and pleasant and makes me feel having a spa treatment. The micro beads feel mild yet effective on the skin. A creamy lather is formed whilst scrubbing and it feels very soft and smooth on the skin. It is easily rinsed away with warm water (I make sure to splash cold water after warm water to close pores!) with no greasy or sticky feeling. My skin feels soft, smooth, clean, refreshed and thoroughly exfoliated. As I have oily skin, I don’t feel the immediate need to moisturize my skin.

I haven’t faced any adverse effects such as irritation, redness or breakouts whilst using this scrub. The aroma of the scrub lingers with me for quite a few minutes which I really like a lot. The scrub is quite gentle to be used on a daily basis although I prefer using it twice a week. It is meant for all skin types. It would last with me for a good 7-8 months with regular usage as a little goes a long way.
