NYX Powder Blush ‘Spice 14’ Review & Swatches

I confess I am a huge fan of blush. After using NYX cream blushes (Read review here and here), I really wanted to try their powder blushes. NYX has a wide range of shades available and I got really confused between pink blushes (I am not so good in differentiating the shades. All pinks are more or less the same to me). After looking at all the shades and their swatches on various blogs, I finally decided to order ‘Spice’ for my fair skin tone. Whenever I wear this blush my friends think I am blushing and start checking my phone messages, contacts and mails (Girls you should know that’s the magic of blush!). Today I am going to discuss my experience with NYX Powder Blush in 'Spice'.

MBT says-
NYX powder blush comes in a sturdy black compact with a flip open transparent lid. The transparent lid enables an easy identification of the shade in case you hoard many from this range. The packaging is quite light and compact and can be easily carried around in a makeup bag. There is no applicator or mirror provided with the blush so make sure to carry your own. I love the quilted diamond pattern imprinted on it that makes the blush look all the more pretty and attractive.

The texture of the blush is soft and smooth. The blush is extremely easy to apply and glides smoothly across my skin. It blends evenly and effortlessly without being patchy or cake-y. I use a fluffy blusher brush, swirl it lightly across the blush and apply it on my cheeks with a light hand. It feels soft and velvety smooth on my skin.

The pigmentation is superb. You only need a single sweep of blush to give rosy and natural color to your cheeks. My skin looks natural with no harsh edges or patches. It gives a natural and matte finish. I use it sparingly to avoid looking like a clown. You can always build up the color for a more dramatic look. The blush lasts on my oily skin for a good 6-7 hours without fading. A little goes a long way as a small quantity of the blush is needed with each application. The blush imparts a lovely, natural and healthy look to my skin. It doesn’t cause any adverse effects to my oily, acne prone skin. It can be easily removed using wipes or makeup remover.

'Spice' is gorgeous salmon pink color with no shimmers. It provides a natural flush of color to boost my face. It is perfect for wear during the day as it doesn’t contain shimmers. It instantly brightens up my face which I really expect from my blush. It would look flattering on fair to medium skin tones. I think it would not show up properly on dusky skin tones.

NYX powder blush has soft and smooth texture that blends effortlessly onto the skin. It feels soft and silky smooth on my skin. The pigmentation is awesome and you only need a single sweep on the blush to get naturally flushed cheeks. The blush stays put on my oily skin for a good 6-7 hours after that it starts fading. It fades evenly and doesn't look patchy or cake-y. Spice is pretty salmon pink color with no shimmers. I shall definitely recommend it to beauties with fair to medium skin tones.
