Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm SPF10 Review

Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm SPF10 Review

I love trying different lip balms. I had heard so much about Nivea lip balms but always end up buying Faces lip balm. Lip Balm is a staple product in my makeup bag and vanity dresser. It is the only beauty product I can’t live without (don’t know why but I feel uncomfortable when I don’t apply lip balm on my lips!). Today I am going to discuss my experience with Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm SPF 10.

Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm comes in a sealed plastic blister type pack to ensure that it has not been used or opened. The actual product comes in a white lipstick style packaging with a glossy pink pull off lid. The lid is slightly curvy at the top that gives a nice effect to the whole packaging.  The base of the tube needs to be twisted to reveal the lip balm just like you use any lipstick. It can also be twisted back to put the lip balm back in the tube. The lid of the lip balm is quite tight and can be easily carried around in a makeup without any fear of being opened in the makeup bag. The lip balm is soft pink in color and looks very soothing to the eyes. Although the company calls it soft rose I really couldn’t detect the scent of roses. The smell is very mild and pleasant and won’t bother sensitive noses.

The texture of the lip is solid and smooth. It glides smoothly on lips without leaving greasy, heavy or waxy feeling behind. It gets absorbed instantly and makes my lips soft, smooth and nourished. It gives a beautiful pale pink sheen to my lips. If you are fond of tinted lip balms then it might not impress you. It lasts on my lips the whole day unless I wash my face :P. It doesn’t taste weird unlike few lip balms. My lips tend to get dry when the weather changes and it really helps in treating my lips well. I also love using it as a base for lipsticks with dry texture. Your lips are also protected from being pigmented due to the presence of SPF in it.

CONS:
False claim of rose scent.

Overall Thoughts:
Overall I am really happy with this lip balm. It does what it claims except for the part that it does not have the scent of roses (It actually does not bother me as I am fond of fragrance free products!). The lip balm has soft and smooth texture and makes my lips soft, smooth and moisturized. It gives a nice pink sheen to my lips. I shall definitely recommend it to everyone.
