Caladew Calamine Lotion Review

I used to use Lacto Calamine a lot when I was in school. I used it on my face, for insect bites, prickly heat, cuts and a lot more. Recently I got Caladew Calamine Lotion* from Emegamart and I find it a better version of Lacto Calamine! Here is my review on Caladew Calamine Lotion!

Price- Rs 99 for 75ml

Caladew Calamine Lotion comes in a white and pink cardboard box packaging with all the information written over it. The actual product comes in a white plastic bottle with a flip top lid. The packaging is quite sturdy and can be easily carried around in a bag whilst traveling. It is the best thing you can carry if you are traveling! The calamine lotion is dusty rose in color but mind you it is not a tinted moisturizer.

The lotion is fairly good in consistency. It is neither very thick nor very thin. It gets absorbed quickly into the skin without leaving a residue behind. The scent lasts for quite a long time. It is indeed a very soothing and cooling lotion. It feels cool on  the skin and gives instant relief to the skin. I particularly use it for insect bites and it gives such a soothing effect and no itchiness. It can also be used for itchiness, prickly heat, sunburn and nappy rash! it is infused with aloe vera and cucumber extract.

PROS:

  • Feels cool on the skin.
  • Gives instant relief to the skin.
  • It does not cause itchiness when insect bites!
  • Versatile product.
  • Lasts long.
  • Paraben free!
  • Travel friendly packaging.
  • Reasonably priced!

CONS:

  • Contains comedogenic ingredients so if you have acne prone skin then do not use it on your face!

Overall Thoughts:

Overall I am very happy with Caladew Calamine Lotion. I get mosquito bites often and it provides instant relief to the bite. My cousin gets prickly heat during summer season so I am definitely going to gift it to her! I would definitely recommend it to everyone as it is a versatile product!

My Tips:

  1. Shake well before use!
  2. Use a small amount of calamine lotion!
  3. Store in a cool, dark place!
