Lakme Gold Dust Shimmer Bronzer Review & Swatches

I am a huge fan of blushes and bronzers. Bronzers really add a nice and natural golden glow to my face. I like using matte ones during day time and shimmer-y ones at night. Today I am going to discuss my experience with Lakme Gold Dust Shimmer Bronzer.

Lakme Gold Dust Shimmer Bronzer comes in a sturdy brown compact with a clear flip open lid. I love the golden lines on the lid but it starts fading after some time. The bronzer has a unique pattern designed over it that makes it all the more pretty. The packaging is quite light and can be easily carried around in a makeup bag. There is no mirror or applicator provided with the bronzer so make sure to carry your own.

The texture of the bronzer is soft and smooth. The bronzer is topped with lots of shimmer when brand new so I swirled my brush all over it to dust off shimmer. I usually use Born Pretty Store Brush (Read review here) to apply this bronzer. I just sweep it gently across the bronzer, tap it and apply it onto the cheeks. It blends effortlessly without streaking. The pigmentation is superb and you will need only one sweep to avoid looking OTT. The shimmers in the bronzer are very fine and add a natural golden glow to my skin.

The bronzer consists of three shades: light, medium and dark. I use all the shades together by swirling my brush all over it. It gives a beautiful bronzed golden glow to my skin without making me look like a disco ball. As it contains shimmers, I prefer using it at night parties. It can be applied on the bridge of the nose, forehead, cheekbones, décolletage and legs. The staying power is pretty good. It stays put on my oily skin for a good 5-6 hours after that it starts fading leaving behind shimmers. It does not dull out my face and retains glow through its shimmery effect. If you have large pores then I suggest you to stay away from it as the shimmers would accentuate and settle down in the pores and make the skin look weird. The bronzer does not cause any adverse effects to my oily, acne prone skin. It can be easily removed with wipes or a good makeup remover. It instantly brightens my face and would look flattering on all skin tones.

PROS:
Soft and smooth texture.
Blends like a dream.
Does not get patchy.
Good pigmentation.
Great staying power.
A little goes a long way.
Imparts a natural golden look.
The shimmers are fine and do not look OTT.
Easily available.
Easy to remove.
Reasonably priced.

CONS:
No list of ingredients is mentioned on the packaging.
If you have large pores then I would suggest you to skip it.
Does not come with mirror.

Overall Thoughts:
I am totally in love with Lakme Gold Dust Shimmer Bronzer. It gives a natural golden glow to my skin which I really expect from my bronzer. I had dusted off the shimmers which were topped on the bronzer when brand new that avoid making me look like a disco ball. The bronzer comes with three shades and looks pretty classy when used together. The color payoff is pretty good and you would need a single sweep to get the bronzed look. I have oily skin and it stays put for a good 5-6 hours on me which is pretty awesome. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is fond of natural yet shimmery golden look.
