Lakme Sun Expert Skin Lightening + De-Tan After Sun Face Wash Review

What do you actually want to do after spending the whole day in scorchy summers? I want to wash my face with a face wash that gives cooling sensation to my tired skin. When I saw the ‘After Sun’ tag on this face wash, I knew it wont disappoint me and thought of giving it a try. Today I am going to discuss my experience with Lakme Sun Expert Skin Lightening + De-Tan After Sun Face Wash.

MBT says-
Lakme Sun Expert Skin Lightening + De-Tan After Sun Face Wash comes in a sturdy, bright yellow squeezable tube with the same colored flip open lid. The lid is quite tight and can be carried around in a bag without any fear of leakage or spillage. I find the packaging quite bright and summery and it really stands out among all the face washes on the shelf. The face wash is clear with micro white wax beads in it.

The texture of the face wash is soft and smooth with slightly runny consistency. The face wash contains very fine white wax beads that are very mild and won’t irritate sensitive skin. I just need a small amount of face wash for the entire face and neck. It provides a decent lather and feels soft and gentle on the skin. The scent is very refreshing and smells citrus-y especially of lemongrass. The face wash is easily rinsed off and doesn't leave greasy residue behind. It gives cooling and pleasant sensation after wash and my skin feels awake and refreshed instantly. it makes my skin feel smooth, fresh and squeaky clean. It removes all dirt, grime and oil off my face without drying out my oily skin. I don’t feel the immediate urge to moisturize my skin. It is meant for all skin types and I have not faced any adverse effects whilst using it. As I had already mentioned in my previous posts that my skin rarely gets tanned, I cannot speak of the de-tanning part. One of my friends had been using it and she told me it doesn't reduce tan on her skin.

PROS:
Good consistency.
Refreshing citrus-y scent.
Gives cooling sensation to the skin.
A little goes a long way.
Travel friendly and attractive packaging.
Makes skin smooth, fresh and squeaky clean.
Easily available.
Reasonably priced.
Doesn't break me out.
Doesn't dry out the skin.
Suits all skin types.

CONS:
False claim of skin lightening and de tanning.
Contains SLS.

Overall Thoughts:
Lakme Sun Expert Skin Lightening + De-Tan After Sun Face Wash is a good face wash that gives cooling sensation to your tired skin and makes it look clean, smooth and fresh. I love the citrus-y smell which is very refreshing. The face wash removes all dirt and grime off my face. It doesn't dry out the skin but fails in de-tanning and skin lightening part. If you searching for a decent face wash that refreshes your tired skin, I shall definitely recommend it to you.

    2. Yeah I have also used the Lakme Sunscreen some time back but didn't like the sweating which was carried on afterwards, rather Lotus Matte Sunscreen is a very good option as it provides the skin with an amazing matte look, ideal in summers... :)
