St. Botanica Moroccan Argan Shampoo Review

I have used quite a few products of St. Botanica and till now loved all their products. Last month, I bought St. Botanica Moroccan Argan Shampoo after reading that it’s sulphate free. I had used it for more than a month and here are my thoughts about St. Botanica Moroccan Argan Shampoo.

Price: ₹599 for 300ml

St. Botanica Moroccan Argan Shampoo comes in a dark blue plastic bottle with a pump dispenser! You just need to twist it to open and close and it can be easily carried around in a bag! As the weather is hot here, my hair tends to get oily and sometimes, I get dandruff too. The shampoo has creamy gel kind of texture with pearly sheen and has nice fragrance.

The texture of the shampoo is soft and smooth with good consistency. It is neither very thick nor very thin. You are greeted with the pleasant scent as soon as it is dispensed out. I always make sure to dilute my shampoo to reduce the damage the chemicals may cause to the hair. The shampoo is easily applied and gets spread to my medium length hair. Whenever I oil my hair, I require more shampoo than required though it happens with all the shampoos in my case. It creates good lather though it does not last long and the scent does not tend to intensify. But every time it leaves my hair greasy. After using the shampoo, my hair feels soft but with dry ends. I have soft, silky hair with dry and frizzy ends. It makes my ends dry and knotty so I always make sure to use conditioner to resolve the issue.

I had not been suffering from hair fall but after using this shampoo I can see hair fall and it didn’t improve even with regular usage. The scent does not linger and fades away as soon as the shampoo is rinsed off. The shampoo contains organic argan oil, almond oil, jojoba oil and many other good ingredients.

PROS:
  • Travel friendly packaging.
  • Easy to use.
  • Pleasant scent.
  • Lathers well.
  • Makes hair soft.
  • Sulphate and paraben free.
  • No harmful chemicals.
  • Made in India!

CONS:
  • Does not clean my oily hair well. My hair feels greasy.
  • Causes hair fall.
  • Makes my hair ends dry.

Overall Thoughts:
Do I need to say more? Honestly speaking, St. Botanica Moroccan Argan Shampoo did not suit my hair and caused hair fall. I have stopped using it and my hair fall has reduced to a great extent. I would definitely not recommend it to anyone. Instead you can try St. Botanica Eucalyptus and Tea Tree Shampoo. It’s one of my favorite shampoo!
