Whenever I see luxurious cosmetics online or in magazine, I literally feel like going to store instantly and buy it. I have become a huge fan of Besame Cosmetics after trying out their makeup products. They have truly luxurious and vintage packaging. I had already reviewed Besame Violet Brightening Powder HERE. Today I am going to review the gorgeous Besame Cosmetics Classic Color Lipstick in Red Velvet* which is priced at $22/Rs 1397.

Besame Cosmetics Classic Color Lipstick comes in a vintage red cardboard box packaging with all the information written over it. The lipstick tube is gold plated with a beautiful vintage design over it. It is in turn kept nicely in a soft, smooth velvet cloth case. The packaging is truly vintage and screams luxury. It is the prettiest lipstick I own till date. The shade name and number are written on a sticker at the base that represents the color of the lipstick.

Red velvet is a vintage deep red color that makes me feel like I am living in 1940s. It has semi matte finish and does not tend to settle in fine lines of the lips. The formula of the lipstick is very soft, smooth and creamy (though not buttery!). It applies and glides across my lips smoothly, evenly and effortlessly. As it is a dark shade, I prefer applying it with a lip filler to avoid any smearing of the product. It does not bleed, feather or highlight chapped lips. It is really moisturizing and I do not feel the need to use a lip balm underneath it but I do it anyways for smooth application. It does not feel heavy or greasy on my lips. My lips feel soft, smooth and moisturized.
The pigmentation is pretty awesome. It gives true deep color in a single coat which I absolutely adore. The lipstick gives full coverage and you will love it if you have pigmented lips. The finish of the lipstick is even, smooth and semi matte but looks really elegant on my lips. The longevity is pretty good. It stays put on my lips for the longest time with light meals and few drinks in between. It is easily removed with a lip remover without drying or staining the lips. It is the perfect and prettiest red I own. If you are afraid of wearing red lip colors then you would love it as it really brightens up the complexion without making you look OTT.

Overall Thoughts:
Besame Cosmetics Lipstick in Red Velvet is a truly gorgeous and elegant deep red color with semi matte finish. It has superb pigmentation and staying power. It definitely stands out on my vanity table and is a HEAD TURNER. It already stole away my heart and I would highly recommend this vintage makeup line to everyone!
