I prefer organic or herbal shampoos over chemically laden shampoos. I fear myself getting grey hair at the age of 26. I tried so many herbals shampoos and none of them really suited my hair. I went to Patanjali store to get few things I always repurchase from them (Read Best Patanjali Products you should try HERE). My eyes landed on this Patanjali shampoo and I thought of giving it a try. Today I am going to discuss my experience with Patanjali Kesh Kanti Natural Hair Cleanser.

Patanjali Kesh Kanti Natural Hair Cleanser comes in a sturdy, white opaque plastic bottle with a brown flip top lid. The lid seems quite fragile to me but nevertheless it is quite tight and can be easily carried around during traveling without any fear of leakage or spillage. The packaging is fairly simple yet looks nice. It is almost similar to Patanjali Kesh Kanti Milk Protein Shampoo (Read my review HERE). The shampoo is brownish orange in color with a prominent smell of orange. The scent and color are the same as that of Patanjali Kesh Kanti Hair Cleanser (Read my review HERE) and I was confused if it is the same shampoo with changed name.
The texture of the shampoo is soft and smooth with good consistency. It is neither very thick nor very thin. You are greeted with the orange scent as soon as it is dispensed out. The scent is lively and pleasant and won’t bother sensitive noses. I always make sure to dilute my shampoo to reduce the damage the chemicals may cause to the hair. The shampoo is easily applied and gets spread to my medium length hair. Whenever I oil my hair, I require more shampoo than required though it happens with all the shampoos in my case. It creates good lather and the scent does not tend to intensify. It is easily rinsed away. After using the shampoo, my hair feels soft, thoroughly cleansed (I apply oil before washing my hair!) and manageable with a healthy shine. I have soft, silky hair with dry and frizzy ends. My ends feel soft and I could not find any or less knots that I used to face when I use harsh shampoos. It controls the frizz but I always make sure to apply a good conditioner to make my hair soft and moisturized. It does not leave greasy residue behind or any build up. It claims to control hair fall but as I am not suffering from any so could not share my experience regarding it. But if you have severe dandruff then it might not help you though the company does not claim to reduce dandruff. The scent does not linger and fades away as soon as the shampoo is rinsed off. I have not experienced any adverse effects whilst using it. My cousin with dry hair loves this shampoo. The shampoo contains all good and natural ingredients like amla, shikakai, henna, neem, tulsi, aloe vera that I love using in my hair packs.

Deletei have been using it for one year.you can also apply aloe vera gel on ur hair as a conditioner after washing ur hairs with this shampoo....megha but i want to ask u that my hairs has become thin now it is lacking thickness.is this shampoo making my hairs thin due to longer use?
ReplyDeleteYeah i too feel the same. Due to prolong usage of any shampoo it just stops showing any effect. Keep changing your shampoo when you feel it is not working on your hair!
DeleteDear megha then which another shampoo u wud suggest me which most probably wud improve the condition of my hair .

This is the natural variant of the shampoo and it suited my hair! The one I regreted buying was the orange bottle one which has been reviewed on my blog! My all reviews are honest and i dont just review products for the sake of reviewing! They all are being tested for at least 25 days!

DeleteWhat i realize is that these pantene and dove shampoos which are full of chemicals make the hair luks gud and fuller but herbal shampoos like kesh kanti makes the hair look like broom ,lifeless so i wanna know whatz d benefit oof these herbal shampoos to hair if they do not make it looks good
ReplyDeleteChemical based shampoos are not good in the long run. I agree Kesh Kanti shampoo might be dry for dry hair so you can follow it up with a good conditioner! I had used this shampoo for 3 months but have not faced any issue!

Delete10000mg contains only 60mg herbs and rest are chemicals. Is it really worth calling it a herbal shampoo?
ReplyDeleteWell I don't think think so. What are your views on this?
Patanjali natural hair cleanser worked for me initially. But after one month I was getting too much hair fall. So I looked into the ingredients of product. It contains herbal ingredients, but I noticed that it is having only 60mg of herbal ingredients for 10000mg, which is just 0.6%. That means this product is only 0.6% herbal. Baba ramdev is fooling people. And such people like this one is giving fake reviews. Just check out the ingredients before giving any review. People out there, please don't believe such fake people, they are fooling us.
ReplyDeletePlease try to understand that one product that suits me might not suit you! I am in no way connected to Patanjali brand so please think before giving harsh comments! This shampoo suited me and did not cause any hairfall to me (though it dried my ends after using it for 3-4 months)! My cousins are still using it and they love it! Kindly don't spread negativity on my blog!
DeleteI don't want to spread negativity anywhere. But if you are posting review for a product, you should tell all the points. Even every minute detail about product. Every product suits some people and doesn't suits some. Thats not the thing to discuss about. I am just saying about the product reality which you people should bring out, as we are following you. All reviewers are mentioning only positive points for this product. I don't know why reviewers are not mentioning about negative points that this product has.
ReplyDeleteIf the product suits my hair how can i write negative points about it! I am sorry if you did not find my review helpful but I write the experience i had with the product on my blog!
DeleteHi I am Sukhen Dass. earlier i was using dove shampoo and conditioner and never complained of hair fall but from this month i started using Patanjali Kesh Kanti Hair Cleanser and Kesh Kanti Conditioner. After two days i can see the hair fall around 40 to 50 hairs daily. so i would suggest not to use this product as a try because hair fall can't be reverse.
ReplyDeleteHi Sukhen so sorry to hear but it did not cause me any hair fall when i was using it! i have oily scalp and it suited me well!
DeleteI agree you.. after checking so many reviews I changed to Patanjali .. ul not believe, in a first wash I could see 100 strands of hair.. Ive curly and dry hair but after seeing reviews I tried all the Patanjali products , but I feel Patanjali gives hairfall
